Saul Garcia
1930-2014

Saúl Garcia joined his loving father and mother in heaven on March 29th, 2014 at the age of 83. He was born in Crystal City, Texas on April 1st, 1930 to his parents, Ignacio and Severa Garcia; Saúl was also raised by his beloved second mother, Angelina Garcia. A veteran of foreign wars, he served his country honorably from 1947 - 1952 in the Korean War. During the early course of his young adult life, he worked as a migrant farmer alongside his father and brother in the northern United States. During his adult years, Saúl worked as parts sales clerk at DeBona-Bibb Supply. He was a heavy equipment mechanic for John Deere with a deep passion for the outdoors. He was a member of the Asociación de Charros in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. His passions included ranching, farming, fishing and hunting and shared these endeavors with friends and family throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Irma Garcia, of 59 years of marriage; his five loving children, Yadira De Los Santos, Sonia Torralba and her husband Tito Torralba III, Alma G. Olvera and her husband José Indalecio Olvera, Saúl Garcia, Jr. and his wife Sandra A. Garcia, Laura Lucina de Luna and her husband Oscar de Luna; his thirteen granchildren, Fernando De Los Santos Garcia, Giovanna De Los Santos and her husband Herwing Escobedo, Alan De Los Santos, Sonia Marisa Torralba, Amanda Michelle Torralba, José Indalecio Olvera, Jr. , Abraham Olvera, Alexa Carolina Garcia, Saúl Garcia III, Alessandra Garcia, Oscar Luis de Luna, Edgar de Luna, Kaitlyn de Luna; three great grandchildren, Fernando De Los Santos Villaseñor, Tina Elisa De Los Santos Villaseñor and Eileen Escobedo. He is survived by his siblings Edmundo Garcia, Angelina Garcia, Mauro Garcia, Jaime Garcia and Edmundo Garcia.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd,  2014 from 10:00 AM through 1:30 PM at Memorial Funeral Chapels at 1705 Del Rio Blvd. in Eagle Pass, Texas. A mass will be held at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 800 N Comal Street in Eagle Pass, Texas. Following the mass, military funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery on 1679 Flower Street in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Pedro Antonio Ibarra
1988-2014

Pedro Antonio Ibarra, born on January 8, 1988, went with the Lord on April 1, 2014 at the age of 26 in Eagle Pass.
Born in Crookston, Minnesota Pedro is survived by his parents Jose Gilberto Ibarra and Elizabeth Martinez; his sister Laura Alicia Mendez, and his brothers Jose Gilberto Ibarra Jr. and Vince Ventura Ibarra. Pedro Ibarra will be remember for his pleasant, cheerful demeanor. He was known to be a hard-worker and a promising, young man who never ceased to do his best. Above all things, Pedro was greatly fond of his family, and loved and cherished everyone who was close to him.
Pedro’s viewing was held on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. His sorry was held on the same day at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel’s Chapel A. Another viewing was held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by his service at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Pass. He was laid to rest at Maverick County Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the great care and direction of Valdez & Sons Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Carmen E. Ruiz
1936-2014

Carmen E. Ruiz, born on July 26, 1936, went with the Lord on April 2, 2014 at the age of 77 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Carmen is survived by her daughters Graciela Fernandez, Gloria Castillo, Elda Guerrero, Carmen Talamantes, Diana Avila, and Marisa Ruiz.
Carmen will be remember for being a cheerful, beautiful woman with a great love for her family. Carmen’s great passion for nature and gardening is only equaled by her enthusiasm for traveling. But most of all, she will be remembered for the exceptional love she had for every member of her family, and her everlasting devotion for everyone who was close to her.
Carmen’s viewing was held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapels. Service was held on the same day at 7 p.m. Another viewing took place on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by her service at 2 p.m. at Vida Nueva Worship Center. She was laid to rest at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the great care and direction of Valdez & Sons Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Petra De La Fuente Garcia
1926-2014

Petra De La Fuente Garcia, born April 4, 1926, went with the Lord on April 3, 2014 at the age of 87 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Mexico, Petra is survived by her loyal husband Esteban Garcia, as well as his sons Arnoldo Garcia, Esteban Garcia Jr., Juan Antonio Garcia, Adolfo Garcia, Luis Roberto Garcia; her daughters Hortencia Jaraguchi, Estela Martinez, and Lolis Morris, and her devoted friends Susy Guerrero and Alma De La Fuente. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
Among her many great traits, Petra will be remembered for her lifelong generosity. Her hobbies included playing lottery and spending time with friends and family. Petra believed in friendship, and considered her closest friends part of her family. She will be remembered for always loving and being there for every important person in her life.
Petra’s viewing took place on Friday, April 4, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapels. Her rosary was held the same day at 7 p.m. Another viewing took place on Saturday at F. Gonzalez from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by her service at the Santuario de Guadalupe Church in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. Arrangements were made under the great care of Valdez & Sons Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Ramon Rivas Jr.
1960-2014

Ramon L Rivas Jr., born on May 20, 1960, went with the Lord on April 7, 2014 at the age of 53 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Crystal City, Texas, Ramon L. Rivas Jr. is survived by his loyal sons Ramon Leonel Rivas III, Diego Rivas, and his daughters Brenda Isela Luna, Leonela Gaytan, Liliana Olivia Rivas, Beatriz Rivas, and Patricia Rivas. Ramon is also survived by sixteen grandchildren.
Ramon will be remembered for being an honest, hard-working man who had a great passion for sports. Ramon was an avid fan of softball, cherished the outdoors, and spent many of his days fishing. He was a great father, husband, and friend, who always made sure to be there for everyone he loved.
Ramon’s viewing was held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 19 a.m. to 9 p.m. His rosary was held on the same day at 7:30 p.m. Another viewing will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by his service at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements made under the care and direction of Valdez and Sons Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Rosa America Sanchez
1946-2014

Rosa America Sanchez, born on March 30, 1946, went with the Lord on April 7, 2014 at the age of 68 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, Rosa America Sanchez is survived by her devoted husband Salvador Sanchez, as well as his sons Salvador Sanchez Jr., Carlos Ortiz, Roberto Ortiz, and her loving daughter Rosa Martinez. She is also survived by two grandchildren.
Rosa was a cheerful, loving woman who spend her days treating and caring for her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending in her days at her home, cooking tasty meals for those she loved. Rosa was also known for carefully and diligently treating her various plants and garden. She will be remembered for her great heart, and her ardent love for her family and those closest to her.
Rosa’s viewing was held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Her rosary was held on the same day at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel’s Chapel A. Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by her final service at Our Lady of Refuge Church at 2 p.m. She was laid to rest at Our Lady of Refuge Cemetery in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Benito Gutierrez
1928-2014

Benito Gutierrez, born on July 3, 1928, went with the Lord on April 9, 2014 at the age of 85 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Bracketville, Texas, Benito is survived by his devoted wife Maria Ines Gutierrez, and his sons Manuel de Jesus Gutierrez, Maximo Gutierrez, Bernardo Gutierrez, and Jose Gutierrez. He is also survived by his daughters Rosa Hinojosa, Rosario Gutierrez, Elia Gutierrez, Diana Martinez, Maria del Socorro Vasquez, and Sonia Gutierrez de Lopez.
Benito was a cheerful, lighthearted man with a great passion for gardening and carpentry. He was known to be a good neighbor, as well as an all-around exemplary man. He was fond of music and dancing. Benito also enjoyed certain sports, especially boxing. He enjoyed spending time playing and taking care of his grandchildren. Those close to him will remember Benito for being a kind husband, an excellent father, and a loving grandfather.
Benito’s viewing was held on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Another viewing was held on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by his service at Sacred Heart Church at 11 a.m. He was laid to rest at the Maverick County Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the great care and direction of Valdez & Sons Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Marcos Hernandez
1965-2014

Marcos Hernandez, born on October 9, 1965, went with the Lord on April 10, 2014 at the age of 48.
Born in Eagle Pass, Texas, Marcos is survived by his loving wife Maria Orta, his son Pedro Alvarado, and his daughters Isabel Hernandez and Angelica Hernandez.
Viewings for Marcos will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 starting at 10 a.m. His Rosary takes place on the same day at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapels. Services will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. He will be laid to rest at the Maverick County Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the great care and direction of Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Enrique Herrera
1932-2014

Enrique Herrera, born on June 2 1932, went with the Lord on April 10, 2014 at the age of 81 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Enrique Herrera is survived by his sons Luis Enrique Herrera, Hector Gerardo Herrera, Jaime Herrera, and his loving daughter Carmen Gabriela De Leon. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Enrique will be remembered as an amiable, enthusiastic man who enjoyed spending his days with his loved ones and his closest friends. He had a great passion for many things, including the outdoors and fishing, and participating in joyous games of domino with those closest to him. Until his final days, Enrique was a loving, cheerful man who loved and cared deeply.
Enrique’s viewing was held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. His Rosary was held on the same day at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapels. Another viewing took place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by his service at 2 p.m. at San Juan De Los Lagos. He was laid to rest at the Panteon Santo Cristo Cemetery. Arrangements were made under the great care and direction of Valdez & Sons Memorial Funeral Chapels.

Jose Ramon Navarrete, born on April 6, 1933, went with the Lord on April 10, 2014 at the age of 81 in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Jose is survived by his loving wife Maria Del Refugio Navarrete, his sons Juan Ramon, Santos, Hector, Francisco Javier, and his daughters Maria Del Jesus, Bertha Alicia, Blanca Estela, and Martha Elena.
Jose Ramon will be remembered as a passionate man who loved and cared deeply for his family. He made sure to always be around those closest and deepest to him. He was a hard-working man of a diligent nature, and he made sure to take care and support his loved ones until his final days.
